Jestina Johnson is a Trainee Solicitor in our Family Department. Jestina graduated of from the University Westminster with a 2:1 Masters of Law (LLM) in November 2016. Jestina previously worked as a Paralegal in one of the country’s largest Legal Aid firms following her graduation and joined MK Law in December 2017.
Jestina has a vast amount of experience in undertaking Pro Bono cases and was a member of a Pro Bono Clinic for 2 years where she offered advice in respect of family law. Jestina has a passion for all aspects of family law ranging from dealing with public law children matters and dealing with complex issues such as a non-accidental injury matters. In addition, she undertakes her own case load in domestic violence matters, divorce and private children law matters. Furthermore, she also assists in all other aspects of family law including financial remedy proceedings under the direct supervision of the Head of Department.
As a result of her work both in her own matters and assisting, Jestina has been commended for her understanding and empathetic nature and desire to provide exemplary client care with clients and legal professionals alike. Jestina is of the firm view that family law proceedings require sensitivity and robustness in equal measure and clients especially appreciate her approach to resolving their particular issues.
Jestina has a strong work ethic and enjoys the challenges of working within a demanding profession. Jestina enjoys reading and socialising with friends and family. Jestina plans to further expand her legal experience and qualify as a Family Law Solicitor in the near future.
