Our client worked as an electric meter installer and attended a residential property (with 2 others) in execution of a court warrant to shut down the supply.
The occupant subsequently claimed that in the process one of them had stolen a gold ring.
Police ignored this allegation for a period of 9 months, before leaping into action arresting our client in a dawn raid on his home. Somewhat surprisingly, they were unable to recover any gold ring. No one else was arrested. He was detained for 10 hours, denied it and it was NFA’d.
