Courts

If you’ve been charged with a criminal offence we have a team of specialist criminal defence solicitors including skilled court advocates and Barristers. We also have large and wide-ranging experience across Magistrates Court, Crown Court, Youth Court and Court of Appeal matters.

Crown Courts

Crown Court judges preside over Crown Court proceedings and will deal with all preliminary hearings and sentencing. If, however, you are facing a trial you will be tried by a Judge and Jury, the Jury being 12 randomly selected people, usually from the borough or neighbouring borough of the Court that you are in.

Magistrates Court

As soon as anyone is charged with a criminal offence however minor or serious the case always starts at the Magistrates Court. Furthermore the cases will either be tried by a District Judge or two/three magistrates usually referred to as a Lay Bench.

Youth Court

If you or your child have been charged they’ll be sent to a special Youth Court. So that we can help we have a vast amount of experience working within Youth.
