James Hasslacher was called to the bar in 1993 and practised from chambers at 4 Breams Buildings before joining MK Law in 2016.

James’s biography

As a barrister James has dedicated his practice to defence work. He initially specialised in representing those charged with serious sexual offences. He then extended his practice to defend charges of major drug importation, computer virus fraud, VAT fraud, murder and kidnapping. He is qualified and experienced in the cross-examination of vulnerable witnesses. More recently James has been instructed with respect to matters involving offences contrary to the Terrorism Act 2006.

James has appeared in the High Court and Court of Appeal advocating in guideline cases. He has argued successfully for fair trials and appealing excessive sentences.

He is always cares passionately about every outcome for his trials and provides assurance that every argument is persuasively presented.
