Katerina Iwai read Law at Brunel University Law School, graduating in 2016 before beginning her career in criminal litigation later that same year. Since then, she has built a strong reputation for her commitment, attention to detail, and ability to manage complex and demanding cases.
Since joining MK Law in November 2019, Katerina has worked on a wide range of matters in both the Magistrates’ Court and Crown Court. Her experience spans offences from public order matters through to the most serious allegations, including murder and large-scale drug offences. She has developed a particular strength in handling high-pressure and sensitive cases, earning the trust of both clients and colleagues alike.
Alongside her full-time senior role at MK Law, Katerina enrolled on the SQE course at BPP Law School. Her drive to continue developing her legal knowledge while working full-time reflects her dedication to both her profession and her clients.
As a result of her growth, knowledge, and the significant contribution she has made to the firm, Katerina has been promoted to Practice Manager, where she supports the Directors in managing the firm’s three offices. In this role, she plays a key part in the day-to-day running of the practice while continuing to oversee a busy caseload.
Katerina has also become one of the firm’s specialists in Proceeds of Crime matters, managing numerous POCA cases and achieving consistently strong results for clients. Her expanding expertise in this area, combined with her broad criminal litigation experience, has made her an invaluable member of the team.
