Francesca Hallett represented a defendant charged with being drunk on an aircraft coming into London earlier this year.
It was alleged he pushed cabin crew members, fell onto a pregnant passenger and tried to force one of the plane’s doors open whilst landing. At trial, two British Airways Cabin Crew and a Police Officer gave evidence but the defendant was found not guilty on the basis that the Magistrates couldn’t be sure whether his behaviour was due to intoxication or extreme tiredness.
